Guided Bow Hunts
« on: September 08, 2012, 08:49:48 PM »
Just wondered if anyone could recommend a guide on the west side and maybe tell me what kind of cost is involved in going on a guided hunt and also what kind of sucess rate there is with guided hunts. Thanks.

I have been trying hard to get out and scout and hunt but due to major issues in my life and a lack of time due to them i really want to get out there and get my first animal with my 4 year old bow. LOL.
The only person who has failed is the one who never tried.

If I had the money to pay for an outfitter/guide I wouldn't spend that money on a general season West side hunt. I would take that money out of state. I would give Bearpaw on here a call. He can and will hook you up. Also since the season has already startsd it is gonna be tough to find someone not booked up. If I was you I would book an out of state hunt for next year.

Now if I drew a special permit in this state on the east side and didn't have time to scout for it I wouldn't hesitate to spend money on a guide like Norsepeak or mtncook.

Or you can do what most hunters who do not have the chance to get out and poke around in the woods (like myself, Underway from 05Dec2011-20Mar2012, gone again 07June-24Aug2012). Hit up whatever land that you can, I have gone out 6 times and have not gone a day without seeing a couple of deer each day.
