Hiked 6.5 miles into the alpine lakes Saturday. Hunted Saturday evening and Sunday morning, got the notice Sunday afternoon to evacuate due to wildfire in the area. 8 day hunt turned into 1 1/2. Real disappointed.

Bummer I am sure you aren't the only one that happened too, just sucks you train all year for it and it gets cut short like that.

So far the Entiat and Chiwawa River roads are closed.  The Sears fire may cause the White River Road to be closed.  Eightmile is closed because the fire burning up toward Lake Caroline.  Have not heard that the entire Icicle River Road is closed but that is probably the case.  The Forest Service Wilderness staff has been busy telling people to evacuate but many are unwilling to leave.

We could sure use 4 feet of snow in September.

We were in the ALW from Thursday till yesterday. We left because of all the smoke but nobody told us we had to leave. Haven't heard of any full closures but we didn't see civilization till this afternoon.

that is a bummer! I was lucky enough to be up there for archery opener and didnt have to worry about fires; unlucky enough to tag a buck though!
Well, I didn't drive 13 hours just to shoot once!
