muzzy sights?

im looking for some new sights for my muzzle loader its a traditions evolution and i was wondering if anyone has any good in put on what i should get? ive been looking at the truglo ghost set anyone ever use these?

Dont know about those sights specificaly, but.....

I've found that for me I very much prefer to have a green front sight and red rear sight. If the other way (seems Knight likes to sell them this way) then the much brighter green is close to your eye and the much dimmer red is far away and behind the green. Having the dimmer red neer my eye and the bright green farther away greatly improves my sighting.

I convert all my sights to this configuration.

A freind of mine has these on his rifle and like them a lot.  I am not a fan as they seem bulky to me and also they are plastic.

I end up using a Williams FP peep (1/4 min clicks for elevation and windage) with fire sight front sight and hood.

williams with metal are much more durable and my preferred choice.

There is a lot of posts about that sight and you will see me in about every one. They are great and there is about 20 guys on this site that have them and shoot them

Excellent sights!  I actually am trying a Williams peep sight on my CVA Wolf but I am using the truglo Globe front sight.



5 shot 100 yard group. That one *shot 6* towards the center was me holding at 12 O clock on the bulls eye to see if what I was experiencing was a fluke LOL. Far from being a fluke.

Excellent set up so far and I think it will do real well in the field with either rear sight, I simply just want to try the Williams peep.

I'm new to ML hunting and I put the Tru Glo sight on my Bighorn. I have been pleased with my results over the factory iron sights I began with.

  I just installed a set of these on my ML a couple months ago because I was having issues with the stock sights that came with the rifle. Knowing the group size prior to installation,I shot a couple of groups and found because of the rear ramp location, the rear and front sight kind of meshed together(not the best eyes in the world either). So all I did was paint the back of the front sight globe white. After that, I was able to acquire and lineup the sight quickly and correctly.Groups dropped by an inch or so(3.5" to 2" at 100). They work good after the adjustment.

I use a Lyman 17A front with Lee Shaver Inserts. Usually a rear Williams peep. Just Ordered a Lyman 57SME for the rear of this White Super 91 in .45 caliber.

I put that Tru-Glo sight on my TC Black Diamond last year and absolutely love it.  Worked well on a nice spike over in the Umtanum too

I may have to give these a quick go.  My gun was knocked over and the sight broke.  Damn, had it all dialed in.
