Girlfriends First Deer
« on: September 11, 2012, 12:03:02 PM »
So we set the Double Bull Ground Blind up Friday morning on a trail where we had alot of deer entering an alfafa feild. Being her first bowhunt, I wanted her to shoot the first deer that offered a good shot. After a few hours in the blind the deer began pouring into the feild. A doe came walking in at 20 yards and wouldnt stop when she went threw our shooting lane. She didnt have to wait for another opportunity. A doe had entered the trail just aove the blind at 12 yards but she had no shot. Then the "monster" walked down the trail behind her right for the shooting lane. I stopped him when he walked into the shooting lane at 6 feet away! she let the arrow fly and smoked him. He ran maybe 50 yards before piling up. The double bull was incredible. they had no idea we where even there. Great way to start off her hunting career :IBCOOL:

Nice!  The deer too.  :chuckle:
Don't let that girl get away!    (and don't let your shorts get in a bunch when she becomes a better shot)

Great to have a hunting partner who can keep you warm in spike camp.
Old enough to know better.
Young enough to go for it.

Congrats to a, very, lovely lady on her first deer.  Judging by the wound, in the pic, she made and excellent shot; GREAT JOB!!!

It's going to take a long time to remove that, beautiful, smile.  You should be jealous.  That buck put a bigger smile on her face that you EVER will.  ;)

Look forward to seeing her post a nice bear as well.
