I was comparing to the 140 that I killed and it appeared to have a few inches on every tine all the way around. Looked bigger to me  :dunno:

That is just because yours is really about a 120!

j/k, I agree with you.

Bigshooter, I may be over a bit on mains after taking a closer look. Closer to 18". But there is no way his G3 is 7" and G4 is 6". They are 9"-10" and 8"-9". The ear length is suppose to be 9"(mature buck and this buck might be closer to 8" ear) and that G3 is longer than that bucks ear(I cheated and used a scale ruler).

This is a good discussion. I have never really looked close to score deer until the past few years. This thread could end being very informative to those learing to field judge bucks. We have many 160 guesses and many 140 guesses. I can be humbled and will be the first to say I was wrong if I am.

Dang we need an official score!!!

145, end of story.  Give me my field judging Merit badge and a cookie.  Please.

150 maybe.  No main beam.  His lessor left side is keeping him from being a mid 150's I think.  Nice buck though and I'm sure the shooter was very happy.

I tried to score it and got 140 5/8, but I know I did it wrong and i believe it is at least 5-6 inches bigger than that.

You are talking about a guy that clearly has no conception of antler size, he still thinks his bull is average  :iamwithstupid:
