First hunt in Africa!
« on: September 03, 2012, 01:29:50 PM »
Hey all,

I've been gone for a while due to a military deployment, and now that I've finally got access to dependable internet, I've returned.

I'm working in Africa right now and have taken the opportunity to sniff around for a hunting safari in South Africa.  I'm only able to get away for four days, but I've scheduled with an outfitter for a three day hunt for impala!  If it happens to fall early, adding something else won't be a problem.  I'm pretty stoked.  It took a lot of talking with my wife to ok it, but she finally gave it.

I can't wait.  Now lets just hope the army doesn't screw it up for me and prohibit me from going...

Let's see....

Three days hunting Impala, at 4 impala a day...  you should be able to bring home at least a dozen impala!

I'd mix it up and toss in a zebra, Kudu and a comple other ancilary animals too.  Maybe shoot a couple duikers and make a set of matched book ends!

If you have not hunted Africa before, you have no idea what you are in store for!  Have a great hunt and post your photos!
