Last two deer taken.

Winchester Model 70 .300 WM with 180gr Barnes.  They know when they are hit with this.  No wounding...

For a Nostalgia hunt, I hunted with an older caliber gun that my dad used back in 50's.  A Winchester Model 71 in .348.  It was shooting a .200gr slug.  It was a way for me to connect to him from back in the day...

And I think God must be a cowboy at heart
He made wide open spaces from the start
He made grass and trees and mountains and a horse to be a friend
And trails to lead ol' cowboys home again

Not sure how to answer this...  depends on what I am carrying when I see a deer during season really...   :dunno: :dunno:
By my honorable conduct as a hunter let me give a good example and teach new hunters principles of honor, so that each new generation can show respect for their god, other hunters and the animals, and enjoy the dignity of the hunt.

Remington 700 action, Shilen Barrel and Choate stock.  Chambered in 30-06.  My go to rifle for most everything.  Bullet weight depends on what I'm hunting.  I prefer Berger Hunting VLD bullets.  Will have a new Vortex Viper scope on it in a couple of days.
