Use a Rem 700 in .243 kills everything it is pointed at. Gun is over thirty yrs old and it still shoots pretty good. Use Rem Core loks 100 grains
Have other guns but this is the go to gun.

I kill elk and eat elk, when I'm not, I'm thinking about killing elk and eating elk.

Try the 140 accubond, I just shot my first loads with those Sunday in my .280.  The accuracy was the best I've found yet after trying two different bullets and factory loads previously.

Depends on the mood I'm in.  :chuckle:
M77 25-06, Vari-X II 3x9x40 and 110g Accubonds
M77 270, VX III 3.5x10x40 and 140g Accubonds
Either the M77 or the Tikka in 7mm RM both with VX III 3.5x10x40's and 175g Partitions.
The 338WM gets a deer season vacation.

I think that is the plan I have a box of ballistic tips so we are starting with those  I cant wait to go shoot and see how they perform.....I like reloading and shooting so for me this is all the fun stuff and some practice before deer

It depends on the day for me. I take a different rifle out each day that I hunt. Since I only deer hunt 4-5 days a year they don't all get used every year.

Savage 116 25-06 Nikon Monarch 4-16x with 100gr Ballistic Tips
Savage 99 300 Savage Williams receiver sight with 180 Interlocks
TC Contender 14" 35 Rem Bushnell Elite 2-6x with 200gr Hornady RN
Savage Striker 18" 338-375 Ruger 3.5-10x Leupold 225gr TTSX @2900fps
Ruger Hawkey Alaskan  375 Ruger 2.5-8x Leupold 260gr Accubond
Savage RBLP target action, 28" PacNor 300wsm, XLR stock, Leupold Mk 4 6.5-20x 185gr Berger VLD
Savage 16 19" McGowen 358 Win 200gr TTSX
Savage 116 22" 338-375 Ruger 6-18x Nikon Buckmaster 225gr Accubond
Marlin 444P 444 Marlin 330gr Beartooth Bullets LFN cast bullet
S&W 610 6.5" 10mm 180gr XTP

The 35 Rem Contender was the last one to draw blood. The rest just go for long walks along the clearcuts with me to enjoy the rain. :chuckle:

Yes, we are using up some 140 gr. Ballistic tips to work up loads.. then will get Accubonds loaded up for her gun in mass quantity.  She will be good for deer, bear, elk, coyote and cougar.
By my honorable conduct as a hunter let me give a good example and teach new hunters principles of honor, so that each new generation can show respect for their god, other hunters and the animals, and enjoy the dignity of the hunt.

Calling an illegal alien an 'undocumented immigrant' is like calling a drug dealer an 'unlicensed pharmacist'.
