coyote howling?
« on: August 22, 2008, 07:35:46 PM »
So literally 3 minutes ago i hear a coyote randomly sound off in a howl in front of my house, i flew out the door (didnt spook it) and let out a howl with one of my coyote calls and it shut up.

what happened???

i have gotten coyotes to howl back at me out in the field with this call i thought that this one would have done the same-maybe i scared the beejeezes out of it lol maybe it thought there was a new dog in town. Man i wish my nieghbor would give me access to the woods behind his house, maybe after he loses a few cats to those coyotes he'll let me :)

it busted you. Howling for yotes is VERY effective, but takes some skill and experience. also you need to understand  yote behavior, ma

I've had them shut up like that and then sneak in to see who the intruder is.
