New to hunting/ wanted to say hi
« on: September 10, 2012, 08:27:51 AM »
Hey everyone!

Just wanted to get in here and introduce myself. This is my first year hunting, I've always wanted to hunt but unfortunately the gene skipped a generation and my Dad never got into this, so I've been introduced to my new obsession by coworkers and inlaw's this year.

I've been able to get out a couple of times this year so far for bear, mostly in the pac forrest area, and will be back out there on wednesday. I just wanted to say how awesome this forum is, so much information and what seems to be a genuinly good group of people. Looking forward to a lifetime of hunting and being part of the forum!

Thanks all,

Any and all tips are welcome  :chuckle:

Welcome.   :hello:    Lots of helpful folks on here and tons of good info to be found.
It is better to be consistently incorrect than inconsistently correct...

Sarcasm: The ability to insult stupid people without them realizing it.

My level of sarcasm depends on your level of stupidity...

Sarcasm makes smart people laugh and stupid people mad.

Welcome to another addiction. This site will give you something to fill all your extra time with!
I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I'm not!

Tip #1:  Find a hunting buddy that can stay awake!   :chuckle:  :chuckle:  :hello:
If it was easy, everybody would be doing it.

When Bernie Madoff did it, it's called a "Ponzi Scheme"
When Government does it, it's called "Social Security"

I'll give him this, I definitely had to fight it off as well, pretty comfy spot in the middle of a warm afternoon.  :)

Life is too short not to hunt ... and grab a quick huntin nap!
If you love something you will set it free, if it don't come home, hunt it down and kill it.
