saw it trotting thru the timber got behind a tree and waited....18 yrd shot. then circled around and almost ran right at me! sat on its ass 20 yards away from me then moseyed over the hill another 40 yards to go take the final nap. 2nd pic was how i found it. had heart shaped white patch on chest. good fur. way stoked!

Great Bear!!
Any advice from a first timer on how you were able to make a good shot and good recovery, what was your preperation going into it?
Might help others out by just giving a quick thought process for a first timer to think about.....
This can be and most of the time is a great learning site and welcome!!!!!
