can he sue you for putting his picture on a public forum without permission?   Kind of a serious question really.  I have to worry about stuff like that when posting soccer pics or having pics published?

Just fyi  pics taken in public are yours to do with as you wish....it only gets dicey when there is nudity involved or children in a school situation, however most parents sign papers when the kids sign up for sports releasing the rights to images etc to be used for school papers and photographers etc....

I have been pleasantly surprised at the actual laws we do still have a lot of freedom as photographers, this is the reason the celebrity rags still get all those supposedly private shots....

a real general rule private ground it open for anything and no real restrictions.

If you are truthful you are fairly safe. But, you are responsible for your own online comments, you cannot put out false and damaging info about someone, that is considered libel. You are speaking of making claims against a person......so if I said John Doe is a baby eater and promotes cannibalism and performs sacrifices at midnight under a new moon every third month.....then I am walking into the land of slander or libel ...but only if John Doe actually doesn't sacrifice and eat babies

Anything I say will be truth...it will be backed up with pictures.  Everyone on this topic has made me laugh.  If this is a member then I will deal with that member like a man....nothing else will be said....except I will end this topic.  If he is unwilling to talk to me or he is not a member, then I will post the sequence of pics that lead to this.  At least everyone will know what kind of person this guy is.  To my knowledge he did not break any laws.....I cannot prove the elk I found was his, though very likely....  If it is the camp I believe it to be one of them drives an older black dodge diesel....maybe that will help identify him or his partner.  They may also drive quads.   I just want to let this guy know he has been caught and he can stop with the antics.....especially if he is the one that has been causing problems for the past three years.
