I am definetly sore and tired. Leg isnt doing to bad though, thankfully aircraft aluminum is fairly rust resistant. I did get it covered in bear blood and I'm not sure how that effects aluminum though.  :chuckle:

Very cool, Congrats!  What were you saying to yourself as it was walking right toward you?

For the first 40 yards I was saying, "keep walking this direction, keep walking this direction"
Then I was saying, "please dont smell me, please dont smell me"
And about 20 yards away I was saying, "Turn broadside, Turn broadside"
And at full draw I was saying, "Stop, Stop, Stop"

Kinda weird how stuff like this gets ingrained in your memory. Not a bad thing though!

Definetly alot of fat. I got done butchering up the meat this evening and I cut all the fat off and put it in bags and ended up with 3 gallon ziploc bags full of pure fat! I plan to bake the fat to seperate the grease and make cracklins and boot sealer.

I cooked some bear fat several years ago just to seperate the grease for my Danners (which works awesome I must say) but never got around to actually eating the cracklins. My dad was saying he has eaten them before and it was awesome so I figured this was a perfect situation to give it a try.
