In my opinion we need to split the state so we dont have to pay for all the westsiders roads with high gas prices/taxes. I wouldnt mind the eastside making a state with Idaho's panhandle :stirthepot: Stir the pot.....yes. Although I meant what I said  :chuckle:

I live wetside and hunt muzzy elk east and modern deer and elk west. As long as i can dry out i dont care about rain. I really enjoy hunting in thick tall timber. Wash is awesome in its variety of landscape.

NOT hunting to me...never wll I do it... When i go out to chase elk in Sept with my bow its not going to be limited to a spike hunt.. no way in hell, not even the point of why I am out. Ill hunt a area void of elk over a spike hunt with thousands of elk and if thats not a option Ill chase a different specie or hunt another state

I'm probably in the minority but I'm an eastsider that drives west to chase elk. Well, most of the time.

Reasons:
1. I hate the desert, scab lands, and general dry conditions. I'll take constant rain over sand any day.
2. Spikes don't excite me. I'd rather chase cows before searching for the needle in a haystack spike.
3. I can avoid all of the westsiders because they all went east.
4. I prefer locked gates and timber land over 4wd and quad trails.
5. More options for muzzle loaders.
6. It's possible (though not likely for me) to harvest a branched antlered bull every year without putting in for a drawing.
7. Hunting is supposed to be an adventure. It wouldn't be much fun if I stayed close to home.

all the nice little wolfs the wdfw planted for are killing our elk on the eastside so if you plan on trying to hunt over here dont! just a bad decision  :bash:
If you can't be Sneekee stay off my mountain.

I hunted the eastside archery this year after years of westside, because of only one thing, I am sick of weyerhauser fire closures after I plan all season, scout, spend time and $$$ and then cant hunt it.
I'm cool with walk in gates but hate "no public access" signs.
We had a great early archery hunt, killed nothing but grouse but it was damm nice to just walk out of camp and hunt.

I also like to hunt the west so there is a chance I can get a big bull. That being said I never put in for tags just ghost points. Until this year got my muzzy bules tag. Then I will go right back to the west And try to kill some more branch bulls.

I wouldn't waste any money or more importantly any time hunting spikes or true spikes or whatever the hell there called.
