Back from the Blues (Finally its Finished!)
« on: September 18, 2012, 10:11:03 PM »
So after many years of waiting for his tag my brother finally drew a Blues archery tag. We had a game plan from the start as I had guided a hunt for mtcook in there 2 years ago and saw many big bulls. The plan was confirmed when Jeff went in on a bonzai scout trip in late August and saw a herd of 17 bulls where we planned to hunt. We decided to wait until the 10th to start and hunt until the end of season if necessary so mtcook packed us in to a sweet camp. The three of us including my brother in law/ cameraman Emmett even rode horses into camp! The first pic is Emmett explaining to Dave that "no seriously I have only rode a horse once in my life!" Daves horses are awesome so even a rookie couldnt screw up the ride in.Jeff was ready to get to hunting and after flinging a few arrows at one of Daves rolled up foam pads it was game on. The journey continues tomorrow its bedtime! ;) nwhunter

Killing me right now...

" In today's instant gratification society, more and more pressure revolves around success and the measurement of one's prowess as a hunter by inches on a score chart or field photos produced on social media. Don't fall into the trap. Hunting is-and always will be- about the hunt, the adventure, the views, and time spent with close friends and family. " Ryan Hatfield

This will be a fun trip to follow,  but Scott please be careful for there are some on here that might recognize a tree or rock.  The boys did the tag justice as you will see in the end.  They passed on the small ones so a tag could be taped to the mature.  A pleasure helping these guys achieve a long wait (16) for Jeff
