help me decide...
« on: September 19, 2012, 07:23:52 AM »
I'm looking at a early 70's model 70 in 300 win mag with a older VXII 3-9x40. Condition is good although I haven't shot it yet so I'd have to do that.

I can buy it for $400.

I don't really need another rifle but I like the fact that it also has iron sights.

should I do it or is there something new out there that would compare in overall price?

As long as it's not beat to hell that's a good price.  The scope should be worth somewhere between $150.00 -$200.00 which means your getting the rifle for around $200.00-$250.00.  Great deal.

That's way too much money for that. Why don't you just tell me where it is and I will make sure they never try to rake you over the coals with that gun again.   :chuckle:
I would be on that like a hobo on a ham sammich.

Hell of a deal...go for it.

Don't fall into the trap. Hunting is-and always will be- about the hunt, the adventure, the views, and time spent with close friends and family. " Ryan Hatfield

Alright! I’m going to shoot it this weekend, if I like it’s staying at my house.

You guys are horrible, you cost me more money than my wife does! Now I’ll probably have to buy her something! You were supposed to talk me out of it!

You can never have too many guns, especially when its a good deal!!! Every time I get a new one I tell my wife it was the best deal ever, she just rolls her eyes.

:yeah:  I like your way of thinking my friend!
The worst day hunting is better than any day at work!
