Here's the deal there are bears all over highway 2 you just have to get out there and look. I have hunted up that way the last 8 years and have taken 8 bear myself and been a part of taking people out on 3 or 4 more successful hunts. I have seen 25 this year and shot my first on the high hunt last sunday. You should just take a drive up that way and start scouting the area. if a gate stops you don't be lazy and hike in! I will be honest every bear I have shot has been over a mile from the truck or farther with the exception of one. Again there are a ton of bears up there you just have to get out and find them. I am with kola on this I will not just give away my spots because I worked my ass of to find them but the woods don't belong to me and I will tell anybody there is good opportunity in gmu 448 its just hard work to find a reliable spot that pays off every year. Good luck!
