RAIN.
« on: September 20, 2012, 11:16:52 AM »
If there are any Native Americans on here,  rain dances would be very much appreciated. With nothing but sun in the forcast for the next two weeks, I'm starting to get real nervous about west side mod fire. :dunno:

The rain can stay away for the next 2 weeks as far as I'm concerned. I'm lookin forward to some STACKED tidewater kings on the coast!

Where are they forcasting rain at? I just checked here around the fires in Wenatchee, and its supposed to be sunny and between 84-90 degrees into next week.

You're worried about the west side?  There isn't even gonna be an east side if these fires continue.  And even if they aren't charred to a crisp, all of the deer will be dying of cancer from all of the smoke in their lungs.

Mule deer don't concern me, but regardless, that shyt'l buff out. I'm sure they'll be fine, deer are too tough to let a little secondhand smoke hurt em.

I was talking to a native kid's dad after football practice and asked him if he could show me how one was done, he laughed and said man I've been doing them every night for the past month and it has not been helping  :dunno:

For the Wenatchee area they are calling for dry lightning tomorrow(9/22) with the possibility of a little moisture, then returning to warm and dry for a while.  They are predicting a fire season slowing rain event around Oct. 3 and a season ending event about a week later.  This is coming from the incident meteorologist that works for the team running the Wenatchee(fire) complex.

Nothing but air quality alerts, fire weather watch alerts and hazardous weather outlooks for the Mt Adams area.  The fire weather watch is forecasting "abundant" lightning tomorrow night.  :'(

Damned if you do, damned if you don't.  Looking for some offshore air to push this smoke out...BUT that produces MORE FIRE and MORE SMOKE.   I am not sure how they could detect new stuff now unless they were using heat detection as it is pretty bad out there.

Coming back over the pass last night with a load of quads and snowmobiles from the Naneum we had drizzle on the pass and again this morning.  Hopefully it is a sign of bigger things to come.

Just had a VERY small drizzle in Yakima. I heard it outside when I had the window open. I thought "NO that cant be rain!?" Sure enough it was. Only lasted for about 2 minutes.

Came down pretty good in Bellevue around 4 am, hopefully moisture still in the clouds on the way to the east side.
Old enough to know better.
Young enough to go for it.
