Have a late season archery question.

Is the late season for archery (nov. 21 to dec. 28th in my unit) Is it pretty good hunting? Is the rut pretty much over? Im hunting blacktail. thanks fellas!

Yea the rut is pretty much over. But you may be able to get a late rutting buck to come into a call.

Late season plus bad weather means you can find a big one anytime of the day.

 :yeah: the nastier the weather the longer I want to be out, and when a bad weather front is moving in they seem to know it and try to stock up great time to be in the woods, or a field's edge as it maybe

they go into a 2nd rut around thanksgiving... missed a shot at a good bt last year who had his nose up a doe's @ss. Pray for no frost on the ground and try to be out there as much as you can regardless of the weather being good or bad (bad is good)

I should have said the "unpregnated" does go into a 2nd eustrus cycle around thanksgiving which the bucks then hone in on
