Is any of 454 on the westside of highway 18 and south of I-90 ? I used to haul export dirt into that area and guys would see elk, bear and deer in there.

Yes, its all 454. Not sure how long ago you hauled but now you see mainly democrats, hippies, and hikers to the west of Hwy 18.  I only know of 1 small pocket of elk S of 90 and West of 18 in the 454 and they run on all private land around Cedar Grove.

5 years ago, but the boundaries shouldn't change, we'll you know the WDFW.......... :chuckle:

Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe Tiger is totally off limits to any firearm including Muzzy. I hunted it last year with my bow in late season and everywhere said no firearms. Only the east side of 18 allows modern.

There is NO rim-fire or center fire allowed east of 18.
Are there signs up that say that. By the firearm restriction boundries east of 18 is ok, i know it used to be 15+yrs ago, hunted taylor before..
To hunt and butcher an animal is to recognize that meat is not some abstract form of protein that springs into existence tightly wrapped in cellophane and styrofoam.

The signs just say "no shooting except in accordance with local hunting regulations"

WDFW page 73 for firearm restricted areas listing
Quote
"King
The area W of Hwy 203 (Monroe-Fall City),
then Fall City-Preston Rd to I-90, then I-90 to
Hwy 18, then Hwy 18 to I-5, then I-5 to Pierce-King
Co. line; Vashon and Maury islands."

I called, they said that there is NO center-fire or rim-fire west of this boundary line, seems very wrong but thats the law, cross the street and its legal.  :bash:

Quote
Firearm Restriction Areas
It is unlawful to hunt wildlife in the following
firearm restriction areas with centerfire
or rimfire rifles, or to fail to comply with
additional firearm restrictions, except as
established below.
In firearm restriction areas, hunters may hunt
only during the season allowed by their tag.
•• Archery tag holders may only hunt during
archery seasons with archery equipment.
•• Muzzleloader tag holders may only
hunt during muzzleloader seasons with
muzzleloader equipment.
•• Modern firearm tag holders may hunt
during modern firearm seasons with bows
and arrows, crossbows, muzzleloaders,
revolver-type handguns meeting
equipment restrictions, or legal shotguns
firing slugs or buckshot.

I see the state forest starts on the west side of 18. Who is/are the land owner(s) to the east?
