Hello, I'm 44 and in need of cash. If anybody has any extra I'll have it.
See how dumb that sounds.

Not trying to be harsh kid but offer to work for things or to trade for them.

I have some old carrylite sils and some floaters you can have...but you have to come and get them! About 12 floaters and 24 sils without stakes. I have some old duck dekes you can have as well.

Dear Hdshot:

I give away TONS of free calls, decoys and hunts to new guys and kids every year.
I have never givin any to people that ask for free stuff but to those that have some manners.
If a kid learns a good work ethic he will go far and end up with all he needs in life.
If he has the time to sit on the internet (not a free item) and beg for things he will go nowhere and always be looking for a handout.

In the time he spent posting on here he could have been out earning a little cash and asked if anyone had any for sale......................then I would have gave him some for free

I actually agree with Ned on this one.

Don't totally disagree but not going to play MR. Mom on here either.  At 14 didn't have to pay gas and if not for that I would not be hunting causing me to most likely care less about our sport and wildlife.  It takes work to keep this sport alive.  If worried about $100 once in a blue moon to pass the sport on that is your business and that's fine.  But hunters have worthless stuff but can't find themselves to toss in the trash either.

Would he take someone's deks and sell them on craigslist?  I don't know, but worth the risk to make other hunters look generous, not greedy.  People spend thousands and thousands of hours to volunteer at hunters ed.  What? Do those volunteers talk down to the future hunters?  I hope not, but sounds like some people would.
