They require lots of butter and tarragon.  I prefer them cold too.  Even makes scoter and coot edible.  Not bad durky either.  Though it does take a while for your brain to not expect the taste of elk.

Ya ok you keep telling yourself that if it works. It is like eating the azz out of a skunk.
You'd know something about that, wouldn't you?  :chuckle:

Bacon wraping helps....     :chuckle:

Maybe. But if you have bacon-wrapped, duck breasts, then you throw out the duck breasts.....it would taste a lot better  :chuckle:

I'm trying this recipe when I get home.
“If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen.”

A peppery currie does wonders with some apples and onions.  Or soak (I don't) and fry up like a steak, garlic and onion, nicely browned, decent eating.

Predator hunting is a big diff from waterfowl. I grew up, you shoot it you eat it. That is why I won't shoot clam eaters, Mud hens, or divers. Ya ya cans and reds are good for divers. But the rest taste like azz.
I don't shoot saw bills. even though every one taken out saves a salmon. I also think the State needs to do something about the numbers of double enders.
There are a lot of gomer shooters out there. But talking to them in private is much better for hunting, Than publicly hammering them for the world to see.
The anti's want division.
It seems there are a lot of new hunters. They didn't grow up hunting. They need direction, Not a bashing.

In archery we have something like the way of the superior man. When the archer misses the center of the target, he turns round and seeks for the cause of his failure in himself.

No one was bitching at Quackattack, someone had posted how seaducks were so fun to shoot but so terrible to eat. I personally have an axe to grind with that mentality, especially after one of my best duck hunting spots were shut down because of sea duck hunters shooting piles of scoters letting them drift onto a private beach to rot.

saltwaterhillbilly deleted his post. about just shooting them.
