Just remember on those puffed up birds ...Shoot them high ,watch them die - shoot them low and watch them go !!!! bEEN THERE AND DONE THAT

Not that I miss much

but here ya go ...I called a bird in a few years ago and with bow in hand and I watch this bird slowly coming to me just screeming his head off . He gets to about 20 yrds puffs up like volkswagon and I pull back and whack feathers fly everywhere , he jumps straight in the air and hits the ground gobbling and back to strutting he goes , I am like WTH.. He turns and faces away So I then nock another arrow . He turns broadside and whack again and the same dang thing happens again

Needless to say it happened 3 shots in a row and obviously all 3 shots went threw the breast and left a sheet load of feathers on the ground with no dead bird ..

So now it is a Texas heart shot or wing butts like Carpsniper stated above ...or a head shot
