My protégé getting some trigger time
« on: September 23, 2012, 08:15:07 PM »
Shyla will be deer hunting for the first time this year, so she has been getting some trigger time in.
I put together a 6mm Remington for her with a Nikon 4-12, tuned Remington trigger, PTG bottom metal and a 22" factory sporter weight barrel.
Using 90 grain Speer spbt's over H4350, the rifle stacked them in this sub 1/2 MOA group. This from prone with a bipod and rear bag.

Shyla about to ring steel at 300 yards. She is letting her rifle cool and is using my Rbros 6.5X47Lapua

You have to take in account the correction factor for JTP.....his height adds yardage to targets!
