Archery success!
« on: September 24, 2012, 01:43:16 PM »
I know it's not too exciting but I was happy to get my second (and technically third) ever animal with my bow!  I filled my Methow Second Deer tag on private land and was able to connect on a VERY tasty grouse!  The deer was a perfect 34 yard heart shot with my bow.  Died within 25 yards of where she was shot.

I had a good time hunting with my dad despite the lack of deer on public land.  Also convinced my wife to help out with the skinning!

Good job. Any archery animal harvested is a good animal! Nicely done.

Smiling wife skinning, does it get any better than that?  Get the critter cool, and procees as soon as possible.  These temps are nasty for meat quality.

Congratulations for sure!  Looks like a great time.  This is my kind of photo thread....very well recorded.  Oh and I think your beautiful wife deserves a "camo" apron for Christmas!
