HILLA, Iraq — A five-year-old Iraqi boy was pounced upon and killed by a wolf as he picked dates in a palm grove near the town of Hilla in central Iraq, a witness and a doctor said on Monday.

Abbas Mohammed busy picking dates on Sunday with five older boys in the village of Al-Ahamer when the animal attacked them. All except Mohammed managed to flee.

"The wolf attacked the boy, lunging at his ne
ck," witness Kadum Mohammed, 20, told AFP, adding that it was the first time such an attack had occurred in the area.

Dr Mohammed Jassem, from the hospital in Hilla 100 kilometres (60 miles) south of Baghdad, confirmed receiving the boy's body. Jassem said the child's abdomen had been completely torn open by the wild animal.

Not calling BS but I never saw a wolf out there. Bunch of beautiful dogs, but they were definitely dogs. This is a really weird story.

From LA times, they've GOT to be pro-wolf....but read this article....that is weird  :chuckle:

Our wolves would eat them for snacks  :yike:

I'd mistake them for yotes and shoot it if one were to happen to be turned loose here....sure looks yotish

Did you see any yotes?  Because until I looked them up had I been out there I would have thought they were yotes

Ok, so seeing a picture, I may or may not have used what may or may not be considered a machine gun from what may or may not have been a blackhawk because I may or may not have seen one trying to fight a fox. I DEFINITELY have a soft spot for the foxes there. They saved me a few times. Saw one run right through my headlight beam and eat the scorpion that was hauling butt to me while I was sitting on a taxiway. Those things always got the scorpions in the night when they were headed my way.

Radical Muslim problem solved. :chuckle:
Probably the remnants of some Top Secret  Russian plan.
Without fully expressing my beliefs, we should most certainly start to bring back the wolves in the middle east. Would probably reduce the amount of work we have later on :dunno: :chuckle:
