Good news for CA trappers

California Governor Jerry Brown vetoed SB1480, a bill to regulate trapping and WCOs in California .

The bill said  that drowning, chest crushing, or injection with any chemical not


sold for the purpose of animal euthanasia are prohibited. The "no drowning" language could have easily been interpreted to prohibit drowning sets,


underwater colony traps, etc.
