sooty and dusky - blue grouse

like it or not they changed the blue grouse's name to sooty or dusky for a reason.
here is a great photo essay that illustrates the habitat differences of the sooty and dusky grouse... this obviously doesn't apply to western washington birds, but I found it pretty interesting.
lots of pics, few words. mmmm good.
