Black Bear Shoulder Mount (MNTaxidermy)
« on: September 28, 2012, 11:24:50 PM »
Here's a Black Bear Shoulder Mount that just went out the door today.  It was a young Boar.  It had a great cape with real thick hair.

Can you shoulder mount behind the two front legs?  Not sure what it would look like.

Crunchy,

That would be what we call a Half Life Size.  I should have pictures of a couple of those here in the next few months.

Hey Michelle I owe you a big thank you.

Last sunday I took and then field caped a nice black bear in the salmo priest wilderness.  It was your instructions and video you posted that educated me on the correct procedure down to the little specifics.

Being I am out of Spokane I dropped it off at a local taxi and he made the comment that he may not have seen a better caped and skinned bear from a novice than this one.  It was the accurate and correct incision lines, paw removal, and head detachment he was speaking of.

Thanks for the education I hope to return the favor some day in the form of referrals to you.

I'm glad you were able to use the information from my Bear Field Care Post and that you found it useful.

I always tell people to print it off and take it with them out in the field.  You never know when your going to need it.
