Looking for another Horseman/Packer/Hunter
« on: September 29, 2012, 03:12:55 PM »
Well its a little late in the game to start this thread but here goes.

Ive been searching for a person or a group to pack in with or hunt from horseback. I have packed into the Sawtooth, Goat Rocks, The Blues, got snowed out of Glacier and couldnt get through the trail to the tattoosh.
I am know expert but not green by a long shot

I am also a Farrier

I archery and rifle hunt.

Wife just started archery hunting but with the kids and work she cant get away long enough to pack in. I hunt with one other friend but he is also a weekend hunter.

I currently have 3 well seasoned head (just sold one mule) and all my own gear just looking for someone or a group to go with. Its just to much work and a little quiet by myself.

I have yet to purchase a deer or elk tag and am pretty much open to anything, day hunt from camp or pack in

I'm afraid I don't have any hosres, or mules, but I do hunt bow and rifle, as well and would be interested in packing in.  I would need to know costs and equipment I would need to come up with, but interested, I am.  PM me and perhaps we can do something for Late Season Archery.

Well at the moment I am down to 3 head just sold a mule.

I think it would be best if someone had some horse experience for most of the trails i am thinking of. I would absolutely love to pack into the Tucannan or Wenaha again for deer

Too bad you didn't throw this up a little sooner, I would've been game. Have 2 solid geldings that have a ton of miles on them between the Pasayten and NF Umatilla Wilderness, among other trips. No horse hunting for me this year though, unless it's local day hunts.

I can go anytime. I dont really have a set plan as I have had no partners to go.

I am open to rifle deer, rifle elk or bear. If i dont go rifle deer I plan on going late archery deer in okanogan
