Any experience in GMU 133
« on: August 25, 2008, 08:16:26 PM »
I'm looking for a place to hunt, this will be my first year deer hunting.  Does anyone have any experience or knowledge of GMU 133?

I've been thinking about it, GOHUNT shows a few spots with hunt with writing permission.  I would go check those spots out.

In my experience so far, the few i've contacted concerning deer hunting are sketchy at best.  I called one land owner that wouldn't sign anything until a week into gun season, then told me archery hunters aren't allowed.

To each their own, but I think it's a little difficult to find permission, but the spots are out there.  In 133 I see about, 8 different landowners that allow deer hunting spread accross the unit.  Almost all of them allow upland, and about half allow turkey.

There is also a large section of BLM land in the middle of the unit, if you drive hwy 2 north.

Hope this helps.

That's why it's called hunting and not killing.

There is state land to the north of Grand Coulee dam, next to the look out. If you willing to pay $100.00 there is a land owner that allows people to hunt her land. It is the Rosenburgs property.. Just outside of grand coulee. I know of two chunks of state land that has road access that is inside of the Rosenburg property that I could show you.. I shot two nice bucks there a few years ago..Once the shooting begins the deer run right through that state land.  I havent gone back becuase I hunt private property now.
