Where do they have these black tails in captivity? I always wondered that.
Wonder if they pasteurize it or something.
A retired biologist told me there is a blacktail research center some where in Oregon where the piss is collected.
I think if sealed in the bottle and not exposed to oxygen it doesn't go rancid. Even if it does smell bad the only ingredient a buck hones in on is the hint of estrus.
I read an article in Time magazine a few years back that hit the nail on the head with the blatant fraud in consumer products. The best example they gave was, you guest it, Tinks doe in estrus.
Here are some things to think about, they sell millions of little bottle of what they call doe urine. The problem is you would have to have a herd of does in the 6 figures, that's 10s of thousands to equal what they sell just in the months of August through November.
Now remember does are in estrus for only a couple months a year.
So where is all the urine coming from? But it's 100% natural

The article compared Doe urine to the "Hoodia" craze, where in just 2008 the amount of products sold supposedly with hoodia in them just in the United States alone, would have completely depleted the worlds supply of Hoodia. Now add every other country and every other year and the picture gets a little more clear.
Nothing will cover your scent, no charcoal based clothing or spray will take your scent away.
Can they act as an attractant? Probably, but so can apples.
