O.K So what happened with the investigation ? I also believe coyotes crosss breed with dogs ...One thing about coyotes you can count on is the pointy nose ...If you seen or killed enough coyotes you know their is no mistaking them ...I am not sure what you have pictures of but I am not convinced it is a wolf  .. But Like I said , where is the report ?

After making some phone calls and doing some research I have was told that a neighbor had been raising "wolf-dogs."  When I drove by their home the lot appeared empty.   I have a 45 lb heeler and a 60 lb lab and both animals were bigger than them.  I should have waited a while to post my situation but was pretty shaken when I saw them hanging from the rib cage and hip of my calves.  I got a little tunnel vision.  Those calves are 700 and 800 lbs and have never seen a coyote try and take down a healthy animal of that size.

If I had known they had my calves pinned down in the briars I would have shot them onsite.  They had full intent of taking one down.  The calves had apparently been ran through the night.  They both had diarrhea and when called to the barn for grain just layed down and didn't eat.  I admit I should have wrote my story up differently.  Hope this clears things up.

Not faulting you one bit for your observation.   Adrenaline is flowing and *censored* is hitting the fan.   I have critters and have been raised with them my whole life.   I've got an interesting moose/cougar/mule story for you sometime.   Coyotes probably wouldn't have harassed your "calves" of that size.   Not likely anyway.   Hybrids, coydogs, or feral dogs would for sure.   You are probably in for more trouble if they dumped a bunch of their critters lose in your hood.  "The Pack" will be back.  Hopefully the sheriff deals with it

:yeah:

I have NEVER seen a yote go after a cow, or calf, let alone an entire pack even attempting it. Been around cattle all my life, and if there are coyotes in the field they stay clear of the cows, they would get thier  :spank_butt: if they ever tried to mess with one of them. If not wolves, hybrids or some sort of cross. Not coyote.

Maybe it's different in the South but I have seen numerous black/dark colored yotes; I would say 1 out of 8.  I have also seen yotes go after cows.  I have never seen a single do this, but have seen a pair as well as packs of up to 8.  I wont comment on what I see in the pics, because I have no idea. need better pics.
