« on: October 21, 2012, 05:22:43 PM »
So the rain has come river is filled and flowing
So my question is
Why is no one fishing
Been there a couple times this weekend and I had to recheck the regs
Felt like I was breaking the law because there was nobody fishing  :dunno:

It's hunting season! I would enjoy your time alone if it's on the river, good luck.

that's a phenomenon unique to the puyallup, as soon as the weather cools off, the river comes into shape, and the bigger late silvers start to show up, the crowds disappear.

wish it was like that out here on the coast...of course, that's probably where all the guys that were fishing on the puke have ended up right now :bash:
you can still get gas in heaven, and a drink in kingdom come,
in the meantime, i'll be cleaning my gun

I agree with all the above replies.

Keep in mind the crowding on the Puyallup is a relatively recent phenomenon that has coincided with the massive pinks runs for the last 4 cycles or so.

I think alot of people go down there in August and September of even years expecting the action to be like it was the last (odd) year. Then they quickly get tired of fishing when they realize they actually need to try for kings and silvers and might actually need to know what they're doing to have any consistent success.
Charlie Kirk didn't speak hate, they hated what he said. Don't get it twisted.

I really don't know anything about what runs are when ,in fact i have only river fished a half dozen times or so ,So i really don't know what i am doing or if i am doing it right or wrong. It would be nice to know the right way to fish it but then again the quiet time is kinda nice too.
