Turned cool real fast, dropped 30 degrees overnite. Was to warm to scout, almost waited to long. Plan on heading to the basin tomorrow to check some new areas out.

I will not be setting any traps until December.
I have a pile of new traps made. Not sure if I'll find a place for them all.
What is it about trappers that makes us think we need more traps then we could ever possibley get set?

As you can see they are stacked out doors and the outdoors has a lot of space so no I don't need to make room. :chuckle:

I wouldn't start until after Thanksgiving unless of course I couldn't stand it :chuckle: Seriously though early november beaver are just that a little early. I'm always hoping for an otter and they don't get good until December so I'll wait for December.

Just out of curiosity...  I trapped a fair amount years ago but haven't since.  What kind of prices are you guys expecting these days on beaver, otter, muskrat, eastern coyote, etc.
And I think God must be a cowboy at heart
He made wide open spaces from the start
He made grass and trees and mountains and a horse to be a friend
And trails to lead ol' cowboys home again

Beaver $40 average

Otter $100 average or close

Muskrat $9 to $11

Not sure on coyotes

My best guesses and I want to emphasize guesses.
