Turned cool real fast, dropped 30 degrees overnite. Was to warm to scout, almost waited to long. Plan on heading to the basin tomorrow to check some new areas out.

I will not be setting any traps until December.
I have a pile of new traps made. Not sure if I'll find a place for them all.
What is it about trappers that makes us think we need more traps then we could ever possibley get set?

How late in the season do you guys wait to start your beaver sets

I wouldn't start until after Thanksgiving unless of course I couldn't stand it Seriously though early november beaver are just that a little early. I'm always hoping for an otter and they don't get good until December so I'll wait for December.

Just out of curiosity...  I trapped a fair amount years ago but haven't since.  What kind of prices are you guys expecting these days on beaver, otter, muskrat, eastern coyote, etc.

Beaver $40 average

Otter $100 average or close

Muskrat $9 to $11

Not sure on coyotes
