A week in the Pasayten
« on: October 09, 2012, 12:05:39 AM »
Spent a week rambling around with some great folks the Pasayten in Sept.  Weather was crazy warm and no wind the whole week.  Heard quite a few shots.  One camp had 5 bucks, biggest was about 28" wide and heavy.  Here's a few pics.

Thank you - brings back many wonderful alpine hunt memories.

Love the pictures!  I've been working on "starscape" pictures like that but haven't really gotten it down.  What camera/lens are you using and what settings?

Thanks!

Thanks!

For that shot I used a T3i with Canon 10-22mm lens at 10mm F3.5  ISO 3200.
Not sure on the exposure, I used "bulb".  I usually try to do those in 30 secs or less, but as you can see the stars are blurred a bit so it was somwhere between 30 and 45 secs.

They are fun, just gotta try different settings and see whatcha get!

Jingles - Nope, didn't hit that area at all.

Thanks again for the nice words about the pics, I haven't had time to go through all of them.  When I do, I'll get more up!
