Where was this? You mentioned the N. Fork so I'm thinking Teanaway??? My brother was up there tonight and ran into a cougar as he was walking back to a the car on a dirt road. He said that the thing was crouched down and only about 20 yards away. As he raised his gun and moved forward it turned and ran. I have several pics of some cats from my game trail cams in the area too.
