Playing with water and light
«
on:
October 09, 2012, 02:49:47 PM »
Weekend before last my buddy and I did some experimenting with light and splashes. We turned his garage into a mini studio and spent all day dropping first raspberries in to water. The raspberries only lasted a drop or two so we mover to the big league and brought in the cherry tomato's, lol.
We had a blast!

We had three flashes set up at different angles. The third picture is set of three flashes of one tomato.
Disclaimer - No martinis were harmed in the filming of these pictures
Sadly a few tumblers of Jamison 12 Year Old Special Reserve were killed in the process............for the cause of course,

By my honorable conduct as a hunter let me give a good example and teach new hunters principles of honor, so that each new generation can show respect for their god, other hunters and the animals, and enjoy the dignity of the hunt.

If you can light it without flash, then you can up your shutter speed and use high speed shooting. It should up your keeper rate. I know the sync speed on my Canon Flash is 1/200.
Great photos and looks like fun.
