Thought some of you might like to see some pics of the Oryx I helped a buddy take this weekend on the White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico.

I thought this was a free range hunt not a high fence! :chuckle:Nice looking buck I am putting in starting next year.  My buddy just got back from his Dall hunt.  He got a 35'' 9 year old  ram.  I will contact him on the hunts we were talking about and pm you.

BC - Let me know if you draw and I'll get you all lined out - maybe even tag along if you want some help.  This is my 3rd hunt trip on the range and my buddies (the other guy in camo) 8th.

Look forward to getting info about the other hunts

Thanks for the comments.

The bull is pretty exceptional.  He's 37 1/2" long and has 7 1/2" bases.  The hunter was pumped to say the least.  We think he'll go pretty high in SCI.  It'll get scored in a couple of weeks.

Awesome bull!  I assume you're next to the fence because you couldn't have cameras inside?  Strikes me I've heard that before about the oryx hunts.

Nice work Rubbles!! I went down 2 Febuary's ago, drew Stallion Range. Fun hunt, bet it was hotter than the hinges of hell down there this time of the year? It was mid 70's in Feb. I drew my first year, killed a 36'' X 8". Congrats..

Yes, the pics are by the fence because you can't take camera's on the range.  You can take a cell phone for emergency contact w/ range officials, but they do not allow you to use the camera function.

There we basically two spots to take a pic, back by the fence or on the gravel road.

you said it Slider - Surpasses deer and elk by a mile....in my opinion.

We fired up the BBQ and cut meat until 2 am the other night.  Goes great with Coors light or anything else for that matter!

257 - sounds like a great bull, post some pics.

Let me know if anyone draws...I'll give you all the info that I have.  It's a great hunt.
