A pile of 'yotes
«
on:

Here are a couple of 'yote hunting pics. In the second pic, I shot 3 out of a group of 4 yotes. My hunting partner was little put out, so I put my rifle away. He ended up with two of his own that day. First pic is from a first place day of shooting 'yotes in a derby a couple years ago. It was the first year that I shot my Cooper .204. Best coyote gun ever!

I need to start playing in some tourneys. It sure looks like fun. JJ, those are some nice sized coyotes. What general area were you in?

TL, we were in 139/142.
JDB, they are over the last couple of years. I am not as good about keeping a camera around as I used to be..... I had several 3 'yote days last year and one 4 'yote day. I also had a double with my single shot cooper!

Rick,
It is a local derby in Eastern Washington. Just a bunch of farm kids, but they can shoot! The 'yotes are pretty call shy late in the year, so I just howl. I had a lot of dogs hanging up at 500-600 hundred yards last year so I built a long range 300 Win topped with a Nightforce. 168 grain VLD's should do the trick!
I usually hunt deer in 39. A lot of good looking 'yote country.

dangit was going to leave for thecoast bear calling. i just got back from the world predator hunting expo. well the predator extreme magazine guy called. now i need to turn some nice call's for my ad in the magazine. getting alot of email's for call's from the expo. so that went well at the expo.. buying nice calling gun's for this season. been looking at the cooper's at sportsman's and going today to buy a berreta shotgun shotgun. waiting for it to get cold for coyote's. yes there is a big differense on the eastside. seeing alot of coyote hunter's. was talking with Ap jone's from allpredatorcall's i'm selling my call's there now. he said he get's alot of order's from Washington. glad to see you here. have a great fall. Rick,
It will be awhile before I hit the fields for 'yotes. Deer and elk hunting until the end of November, then Sonora Mule deer in January. Do you make howlers? I might have to buy a couple calls from you this winter. Always looking for a unique sounding open-reed. I have shot a few 'yotes with shotguns, but usually take the Cooper or the Les Baer .204. Hope to see some of your pics up on the sight. I will try to post some throughout the season. Good luck this fall.

yes i sell some killer Howler's. i traded one to the coyote doctor's. they have three video's out. he came to my booth at the expo. was very impressed. i use Yellerdog toneboard. smooth. i have to take some picture's got three email's today from hunter's that were at the expo. i have a new 1/2 inch toneboard that is killer for sound's. Arky tested it at the expo. he did the star spangled banner with no break's was happy with it. and Lee is working on my 5/8 toneboard today. thing's are going great for me right now. i get a picture in a bit. i use 6 to 8 inch cowhorn's they are killer.
