Prepare him for the worst experience of his life. Stevens is widely known as the biggest pr*** in Eastern Washington. The WDFW doesn't like him, nor does anyone else "except his fellow adjacent landowners" in Grant County. He will try to charge you big bucks for the hunt! Even if you drive the public roads through, and around his property and look like a hunter he will follow you, threaten to call the cops, and tell you that you cannot be there! There is nothing good about this guy, and I can assure you there will be nothing good about your grandfathers hunt. He is the reason the adjecent units like Harrington don't have as many deer as they did 7 years ago. The deer know they can take refuge on area 201.
I heard that buckrun has public land within the property but it is all land locked. If that is the case I have a problem with someone profiting of public land. I am all for management of deer herds to get quality animals but not for personal gain on public ground. I don"t know where the boundaries are so I can't look it up on a map? Has anyone heard the same thing? This is just what I have heard.
I think the public land is the stafford game preserve which is closed to hunting.
