Another First deer - My wifes

Well we went out to the pumpkin patch that we normally hunt. Deer have not been as cooperative this year during scouting, left my nephew to hunt our favorite spot and me and my wife went to hunt a couple drainages over. two hours of glassing nothing well other then the eight hunters that eventually surrounded us. figuring we were done there we headed back to the truck when we bumped a couple more hunters who had come from that direction. I think they had pushed some bucks towards us but werent going to tell us,
duh who would right. Well at the time I was like ok were done here lets go see what else we can stir up, when less then 100 yards downhill from those hunters we jump two legal bucks!!!! My wife has a little trouble getting the deer in the scope and free standing at 120 yards misses the Buck as its jumping sage. pretty tough shot for anyone much less anyones first. she fires again and nicks the bucks front shoulder, fires again and misses. Buck is getting further away but luck was on our side. it had to cross a very deep ravine and we covered the ground to the ravine just as the buck was coming up the other side. I got my wife sitting down and she dropped the buck with a neck shot
Nephew still hasnt got anything.

well I was hoping for a sitdown shot that is for sure but with the sage that can be very tough...what I really need to invest in is shooting sticks for stand up shooting. two years ago she had one get away because it was running and we couldnt find a place to get a rest for her. So she was definitly ready to shoot. Thanks everyone
