I will begin trying here in a few hours. Have until the close of general season plus a late buck tag.

The world breaks everyone and afterward many are strong in the broken places. But those that will not break it kills. It kills the very good and the very gentle and the very brave impartially. If you are none of these you can be sure it will kill you too but there will be no special hurry.

Most of my cameras are showing very little day movement....a few130 class bucks is about as big as I have pictures of up to this point.

The reason you are not seeing any whitetail is because we missed them missed the biggest whitetail I've ever had a chance at opening morning he was a hog it was slow today with the wind was howling today saw two small bucks its 3 point or better were i hunt add insult to every thing yesterday i pushed a really nice buck right to my hunting partner i couldn't shoot would have shooting towards him they almost ran him over had to wait to take a shot because he had about 12 does running with him got off a quick shot this early in the year you don't see big bucks running with does will be back out tomorrow to try again

I've been thinking the samething.  I think I've only seen 1 whitey on here for the modern guys.  Here is a theory from a guy who hasn't been in the woods for a few weeks.  With the wet spring we had more foilage than years past.  These last couple days has had the first weather of any kind in months.  Result, still tons of leafs/foilage etc on the trees and the whiteys are taking advantage.  I'm seeing lots of pics of mulies in open country.  Maybe once the woods open up a little we will see a few more. I know in the area of 124 I've scouted all summer there has been no shortage of bucks running around.  Hopefully a good weather change and storm will kick up some action.

The big ones haven't even crawled out of the ground yet.   You do realize they live underground 360 days of the year right?

My wife saw a 160 class 5x5 in the headlights this morning. The only issue is he is in 130 which means we won't be able to hunt him until next year since we are archery hunters and forgot to put in for the great multiseason give away since I was busy preparing to deploy.   :bash:
