anyone try the new badlands clothing??

Was wondering if anyone here has any? How do you like it? I just ordered the Alpha jacket. Got a great deal on it. I am also thinking of getting the momentum pants and impact jacket. Does anyone know where you can go see and try any of them on?

What do you mean? Are Badlands packs bad in your opinion? I dont like the way they hug your body and make you so damn hot but they seem well thought out and well built. Cant beat the guarantee either. Please elaborate.

I got the Alpha jacket in the mail. It is a nice jacket but there sizes run small. I have XL coats and they are not tight. This jacket is a 2XL and is a little tight. I got it in a 2XL because I could put extra layers on. It is more of a rain jacket. I couldn't find any reviews anywhere on the web for it. There web site doesn't give a really good description either. I don't think It is worth the $269.00 price they are asking. The only fleece on the jacket is on the inside of the hood, inside some pockets and around the neck area. Would have been a lot nicer if they would have ran there fleece inside the whole jacket. Lots of pockets on the jacket. The hood is removable. When I get another one of there jackets I will let you know how they are.

well built packs? I know several people with badland packs and everyone has had stitching , straps and buckles breaking..material ripping..no thanks

I dont use them myself but I dont believe Ive ever read a bad review before about them.    Oh well, thought I'd ask.

 I have had a 2800 for 3 or 4 years now and knowing what I do I would have bought a different brand. Ergonomically and fit wise the pack is awesome. But I am one of huntnnws examples of seems and straps tearing. I won't buy another badlands pack but will continue to use this one while I can. The wings on my 2800 are ripping off as well as straps coming unsewn where they connect to the pack. I will be sending it back after season but I have seen some of their repairs and they don't look great either. We will see.

If it was replaced with a new one I would probably do the same. May sell it. Haven't thought about it. Lol. It does fit very well and carry a load well but the durability and strength just isn't there I don't think. I will see how their service is after hunting season when I send it back. It does everything I want it to but just wouldn't buy another. Who knows maybe another brand would do the same...

   sums up my experience exactly. Mine has already been sent back one thus year and will going back in late November.

I had a 2200 for a season and loved the layout and the way it fit but I couodnt take the way it held the heat in. It was just too uncomfortable in the deer and bear seasons. Good thread. sorry for hujacking though. LoL

I love thier packs.  I have a 2800 and Yes mine has came apart a time or two but when you pack out animals like I do that tends to happen.  There not ment to carry out 60 to 80 pound loads thats for sure but all in all these packs fit good and are very comfortable.  I will have to say that the prices of packs is just stupid expencive no matter what you buy though.  I have had my pack repaired for free two times and it has come back good as new both times.

in my eyes when you spend that kind of money on a pack it shouldnt need to be repaired every year after hauling anumals out. i have seen huntnnw pack some serious weight with his pack and no problems and doesnt need repaired. like i said i wont buy another badlands but will continue to use the one i have.

Never heard of Badlands clothing. Had a 2200 pack. Only issue was zippers.  Wow 269 dollars for a coat? Not leather or wool?    No thank you.

There isnt an internal frame hunting pack in the same price range thats any better. Eberlestock doesnt have functioning load lifters for most heights, BL has buckle and zipper issues, Ive heard of some issues with the new tenzings as well.
The only packs you dont hear of issues are 600+ such as MR and kifaru.
I run a 2200 and have packed out deer and bear with it. Of course its left some things desired, but if some one will point me in the direction of a pack better for the same price id be interested!!
