Favorite boots

Alright this is simple. Im in the market for some new hunting boots after realizing my books are no longer holding up in the rain. They have lots of miles and wear on them so its time. My only criteria is that they have to be waterproof, and preferably 800 gram thinsulate. So lets hear what you guys think. Whats your favorite?

For a long time i hunted with th $100 class boot but i bought new boots every year because they didnt hold up. One year i bought 2 pair and both were useless by the end of bear season. So i went with lowa and got the renegades and tibets. The renegades lasted barely a season but the tibets are still going strong. The tibets are a little heavier and stiffer then i would like during the early season but they are comfortable. They also take sometime to break in.

If you want truly waterproof boots, get rubber boots. Mine are Lacrosse, but they're 15 years old, so I can't really recommend a certain boot. I'd definitely consider Lacrosse, or the Muck boots, and Cabelas also has their own brand which are probably decent.

I recommend traditional hunting boots if you put a lot of miles on during your hunts but if you dont travel very far then rubber boots are the ticket. I wear them on the west side for black tail hunting and my other boots on the east side for longer hunts

Ya the rubber boots makes sense, but I do a lot of walking during my hunts, especially during late archery. I have good boots for early season archery but later season boots is what im looking for

I've walked 5 to 10 miles a day many times in my Lacrosse rubber boots, with no problems.

Wow!! 800 grams of thinsulate... Are you hunting for polar bears? Anything over 200 grams while I'm hiking make my feet sweat too much, then when I stop to glass or take a break they freeze up like ice cubes.  Anyway, I like the Rocky Bearclaws.

I have been wearing Schnee's for years used them in SE Alaska, Idaho and all over Washington keep them greased and they will shed water and keep your feet dry. Made in Montana

so far its not my Meindl's Bought them thinking they would be comfy...they feel great till about hour 4 of a hike and my feet are so sore. 2 other buddies have the same boots and have the same issues. My Keen hikers in the early were the best I have ever owned

My Danner Acadias have held out water whilst walking through streams. They're a bit heavier and aren't the most comfortable boot, but they're very stable, durable, and you can carry out a heavy load with confidence.

got a pair of tibets 2 years ago and love'em!!!! Still going strong

i have tried ever single sock combo I can think of..same results...tried a new insole..nothing...going to buy the lathrop and sons next..these boots feel like your walking on concrete
