The Wife's first Blacktail

Took the wife to Vail this morning and she filled her tag with her first BT.




And she even helped to gut, clean, and skin the beast with me.

Yeah, does have a good size body for a spike. There was a spike that had taller antlers than this but body was smaller at the check station.

Thought it was strange, but the health Dept. was there also looking for ticks on the deer, never seen them there before  :dunno:

And the Bio. said there was more fat in his body cavity then they expected to see  :dunno:
