Chukar opener

Anyone have much luck this opener?  The Wenas/Yakima area produced nothing for us Saturday and Sunday. Found Huns but none of the red legged partridge.

I wasn't able to make it out but my dad, bro, and uncle went together and got 16. My bro couldn't hit or he wouldn't have limited. Only needed 2. I'll go for them after elk season. They also found 3 sheds and didnt see any other hunters. A quiet kept spot stays a good spot

Hunted Whiskey Dick all day Saturday but only saw two coveys.  Had a good quail hunt on Sunday.  I hunted a canyon in the Wenas/Naches area last year too and didn't see any chuks.  At least Naches Sportsman is getting into birds.

Great chukar hatch in the Tonasket region.  They are a later brood, so all the spring rains must have affected them.

Got after them yesterday. Hiked around all morning. Busted one covey too far to get any shots. We searched and searched, but they seemed to have vanished. So we gave up and went and shot a few quail.

Finally hit a jackpot!!!  Of course it would have to be 3.5 hours into the expedition. Gsp was get'n tired!  It was nice to see a sizable covey near the top of a beautiful mountain. Only took a few out of the covey and headed home!  Craw was full of grasshoppers and berries from the low lands. Just finished eating them and a few Huns. Absolutely fantastic!
