Authorization/harvest cards
« on: October 18, 2012, 04:47:34 PM »
I decided to put in for authorization/harvest cards to expand what I would be legal to shoot. I just got the email that I was approved. I just want to make sure it works the way I think it does before I go slap down the money.

My understanding is that now that I am approved, each year I can pay $13 and change for the authorization +$.50 per harvest card for one of each harvest card. (snow goose, Brant goose, sw Canada goose, sea ducks and banded tail pigeon) I would just have to submit additional hunter reports for each regardless of whether I actually hunted or harvested any of them.

This sound right to you experienced hunters? Or would I have to pay $13ish+.50 for each card?

You can call Olympia to make sure they checked you off in the system.  Than head to any licensed dealer.  They will print your license off again and three miles of paperwork.  Make sure your federal stamp isn't stuck on yet.  Cost is $13.50.  This covers Brant, Sea-Ducks, Snow Geese and Band-tails if you checked those boxes!

Ya, I went and got my cards for sea ducks, snow geese, and brants. It was $13.20 for the authorization+ a .50 dealer fee for each card, so like $14.70 total for the auth+3 harvest cards.
