freeze dryers????

Anyone know about them, how expensive, where to get one?

Guess I really want to know how they work?

I knew a guy that had a small one. It basically created a vacuum inside a sealed chamber, dropped the temp to like 300 below 0 or something like that. Kinda cool, he did some neat stuff with it. I assume you could google it and find loads of info.
