I'm making a batch right now. I do have one question though. Where the heck do you find 1 liter bottles of everclear? All I can find is the 750 ml bottles of 95% stuff. Guess I'll have to pour out some of the mixture  :dunno:  :chuckle:

If you have military buddies, get them to buy your stuff. Cost me 17 bucks per bottle and it's the 191 proof stuff.

Wow!  I just made my first batch.  Well, "technically" it was 2 days ago.   :bdid:

It tasted SO good,   I had to have a few  :dunno:  samples   :bdid:

The title of this thread should show a WARNING DO NOT MAKE ON A WEEK NIGHT!!!   :bash:

Sober, yes.  Yesterday was a little rough though  :bash: :chuckle:

I could only find everclear @151 proof and I cut the sugar back to only 2 cups.  When I do it again, I will not add any sugar.  The apple cider makes it sweet enough for me.

I just bottled it with a few canning jars I had around and then used the Apple cider jug for what remained.  They are now in a paper bag in a dark closet waiting for late archery season to get here!!!

Excellent.....I would think the cutting back on the sugar would be more to my liking as well. Thanks for the feedback...I'm planning my batch as we speak!

I must say that I was a partaker in the hot samples and it was very good. Matter of fact it was too good! Looking forward to a hot mason jar of that after a long hike on a snowy trail....or after a few notched tags!Hopfully!

One variation i have heard of uses goldschlager instead of cinamin to give it that kind of taste. :twocents:
